Wyoming Energy Meeting Invitation

The Honorable William J Clinton
55 W 125th Street
New York, NY 10027

President Clinton:

It has come to my attention that you will be in Cheyenne, Wyoming on Wednesday, March 23rd for a meeting with the Wyoming Democratic party on behalf of Secretary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

On March 13th, during a CNN town hall meeting in Ohio, Secretary Clinton stated, “We’re going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.”

You may not be aware that Wyoming is our nation’s largest coal producing state. Thousands of our citizens, families, businesses and communities have already been devastated by President Obama’s War on Fossil Fuels. We won’t stand by and watch Secretary Clinton, or anyone else, continue these policies.

I invite you to sit down with me face-to-face in Cheyenne on Wednesday. You pick the time and place, and let’s invite the press. We can discuss Wyoming’s fossil fuels and why they are truly national treasures. We can talk about the millions of Americans across our country who rely on Wyoming coal for their electricity, and the economic devastation, including skyrocketing electricity prices, Secretary Clinton’s policies will cause for those least able to pay. We can talk about how blessed we are to have the resources in Wyoming to help our nation become truly independent. And you can take the message directly back to Secretary Clinton that we will never allow her to kill Wyoming’s coal industry.

Best regards,
Liz Cheney
