FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CASPER – This morning, Liz Cheney released the following statement after being endorsed by Susan B. Anthony List, a national pro-life advocacy group with hundreds of thousands of members across the United States.
“I am proud to accept the endorsement of the Susan B. Anthony List. Their tireless efforts to save the innocent lives of unborn babies is admirable, and if I am elected to Congress, I will be a fighter for this terribly important cause. I believe deeply in pro-life values, and as the mother of five terrific kids, I live these values every day. Washington’s priorities must be refocused in support of a culture that celebrates life, strengthens faith and sustains healthy families. As a pro-life, constitutional conservative in Congress I will fight for the sanctity of all human life, including the lives of the unborn, and I will lead the effort to see to it that Planned Parenthood is defunded, investigated and shut down.”
Susan B. Anthony List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. SBA List noted that Leland Christensen cast the deciding vote in 2011 against a pro-life ultrasound bill (HB251) in the Wyoming State Senate. Christensen’s vote was subsequently touted in a Planned Parenthood newsletter.
“Susan B. Anthony List proudly endorses Liz Cheney for Congress,” said former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, Vice President of Government Affairs for the Susan B. Anthony List. “Liz Cheney will be an unwavering and outspoken advocate for unborn children and their mothers, and we look forward to her joining the ranks of our Pro-Life Women’s Caucus in Washington.”
