Advancing Access to High-Quality, Affordable Health Care

Wyoming families continue to struggle obtaining access to affordable, comprehensive health care. Unfortunately, Obamacare exacerbated this problem and now, Democrats seem determined to limit health care choices further and expand government-run coverage. More bureaucracies and more government will not solve the problems in our health care system. Therefore, Liz has and will continue to take action to expand access to quality health care, lower the cost of care, embrace medical innovation, and increase transparency in our health care system.

Every American should have the ability to access affordable and comprehensive health care coverage for themselves and their family.  Purchasing insurance should be no different than buying a car, with providers in each state competing for your business.  Health care providers should be transparent about costs, as no family should receive a surprise medical bill in the mail for services they can’t afford.

What Liz Has Done:

Supported legislation to ensure everyone who suffers from a pre-existing condition can have access to affordable and comprehensive coverage.

Ended surprise medical billing starting in 2022.

Introduced the Advancing Telehealth Beyond COVID-19 Act, bipartisan legislation which will ensure that critical access to telehealth services continue for Wyoming seniors after the national emergency has ended.

Repealed the individual mandate in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and the Independent Payment Advisory (IPAB) Board (a board of unelected bureaucrats tasked with cutting Medicare benefits).

Supported legislation to advance home health services and hospice care.

Helped craft a bipartisan bill that would drastically reduce the cost of prescription drugs in the U.S. while streamlining the production of new medicines and treatments.
