As we honor our flag today, let us never forget the freedom it represents or the sacrifices made by so many to defend and protect that freedom. In addition to commemorating Flag Day, June 14th also marks the 241st birthday of the U.S. Army. On this anniversary, in the aftermath of the recent attacks upon our homeland, may we remain committed to defending the Republic for which our flag stands. Let us also give special thanks to the men and women of our Armed Forces who proudly carry the stars and stripes in defense of liberty at home and across the world.
