CHEYENNE – This afternoon, Liz Cheney launched her campaign’s first ad in response to former President Bill Clinton’s upcoming trip to Cheyenne on Wednesday. The radio spot, called “National Treasure,” features Hillary Clinton in her own words.
Appearing at a recent town hall in Ohio, Hillary Clinton promised that during her administration, “we’re going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.” Clinton’s statement was an acknowledgement that she plans to continue waging Barack Obama’s War on Fossil Fuels and destroying Wyoming jobs.
“Bill Clinton thinks he can earn Wyoming votes while Hillary pledges to destroy Wyoming’s coal industry, kill our jobs and devastate our communities. He shouldn’t set foot in Wyoming until he looks our coal miners in the eye and explains why Hillary is committed to putting them out of work. Wyoming’s fossil fuels are a national treasure, and as Wyoming’s next Congressman, I’ll lead the fight to stop the unconstitutional assault from Washington on our energy jobs and way of life,” Liz Cheney said.
On Monday, Liz Cheney sent a letter to former President Clinton requesting a face-to-face meeting in Cheyenne during his campaign swing.
The ad will run statewide in Wyoming. It will begin airing today.
